This privacy policy explains how WikiTalk handles information when you use our mobile application and related web pages.
We built the WikiTalk application as a free, open-source service for the Wikimedia volunteer and contributor community. This service is provided at no cost and is intended for use as is.
WikiTalk does not collect, store, or sell any personal data or analytics to external parties.
Discussions and talk page contents accessed via the app are publicly available Wikimedia project data retrieved directly from official Wikimedia APIs.
When you choose to log in with your Wikimedia account, the authentication is handled securely through the official Wikimedia OAuth2 system. WikiTalk does not have access to or store your password. Your access token is stored locally and securely on your own device only to authenticate your discussion posts and replies with Wikimedia servers.
WikiTalk stores discussion threads and draft replies in a local SQLite database exclusively on your device to enable offline reading and drafting. This data never leaves your device unless you choose to post a reply to Wikimedia.
WikiTalk does not use tracking cookies, advertising identifiers, or device fingerprinting.
Our application does not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any updates will be posted on this page.
